Is everything going according to plan? Kursk refused to hold a parade on May 9: earlier, this decision was made in Belgorod in order not to provoke the Armed Forces
The Russian city of Kursk has cancelled the parade on May 9 this year "for security reasons". Earlier, this decision was made in Belgorod.
The change in the format of the Victory Day celebrations in Kursk was announced on April 10 by the head of the region, Roman Starovoit, according to Russian media. He noted that the format of the "Immortal Regiment" event has not yet been determined.
"It has been decided not to hold a military parade on May 9 in the Kursk region," the Russian official said, explaining that this was due to the position of the region's operational headquarters, which decided to strengthen "anti-terrorist measures".
Earlier, Belgorod Region Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov explained the cancellation of the parade by his unwillingness to "provoke the enemy with a large number of vehicles and military personnel".
Recall that on April 5, Kursk was hit by another "cotton" pop. Local residents reported a powerful explosion and a bright flash in the sky. At the same time, during the day, the governor of the Kursk region, Roman Starovoit, twice stated that the region had been shelled, allegedly by Ukraine.
It is worth noting that "cotton" in the border town of Kursk is a fairly frequent phenomenon. There were several explosions in the city in March. In addition, in the village of Plekhove, Kursk region, Russian guerrillas mined a number of facilities, promising even more "gifts" to Putin's occupiers and their henchmen.
As reported by OBOZREVATEL:
- earlier, Russia deployed additional forces to the Kursk region, allegedly to guard the border with the Sumy region of Ukraine. Local authorities claim that the region has allegedly been repeatedly shelled by Ukraine since the start of the large-scale invasion of Ukraine;
- before that, Russia accused the Ukrainian Armed Forces of mortar shelling of the village of Krasnooktyabrsky in the Glushkovsky district of Kursk region. There were allegedly 12 arrivals there.
