How to wash white clothes to keep them bright: the French method

White clothes need special attention when cleaning, as repeated washing negatively affects the condition of the material and the brightness of the color. Chemicals can only harm things, so you should carefully choose the right way to remove stains.

You will need two pots, but one should be twice as big as the other. Pour four to five liters of water into both containers and bring them to a boil. Then remove them from the stove.

Grate a small piece of laundry soap into the smaller pot, and add five to seven crystals of potassium permanganate (the solution should be pink, not purple) to the larger pot. Stir everything until completely dissolved.

Then pour the soap and water into a large saucepan and mix everything again. Soak the white clothes for seven to eight hours, and then wash them by hand or in a washing machine with the appropriate mode turned on.

When the clothes are dry, you will see that they have turned bright white.
