Hair conditioner will solve the problem of shrinkage of washed clothes

Shrinkage of clothes after washing is an annoyance that happens from time to time with things made of natural fabrics. Due to their characteristics, they tend to shrink after being soaked, especially in hot water. But experienced laundry experts say that it is possible to restore the shape of things.

A life hack with a special soak has begun to gain popularity on social media. OBOZ.UA tells you about a life-saving product - a regular hair conditioner.

The key here is its ability to soften the fibers. This allows the cotton to stretch back to its original length.

To use this life hack, take a bowl of lukewarm water and dissolve 2-3 tablespoons of conditioner in it. The product may not stir well because the water is not very hot, so you will have to try a little harder. Next, simply soak the item in the solution and leave it for 30 minutes, then rinse it out and wring it out thoroughly without twisting to remove as much water as possible from the fibers.

Dry the treated item on a towel. Lay it out on a flat surface and place the wet item on top. Stretch it out well at the edges so that the treated fibers can straighten to their original length and let it dry in this state. Finally, hang the item to dry on a clothesline.

If the conditioner has not rinsed out properly, the item can be washed again. But choose cold water and a gentle spin to prevent it from shrinking again, and give it a good stretch after hanging it up to dry.
