Blinds can be difficult to clean because of their thin slats. To quickly and effectively remove dust, you can use a vacuum cleaner with a special nozzle.

Cleaning expert Nick Drewe shared the perfect way to clean and refresh blinds. He suggested putting chemicals aside, Express writes.

Thus, you can use a vacuum cleaner to clean the blinds. "Simply close the curtains or blinds and run a small brush over them to freshen them up," Drewe says.

This should dislodge any dust, dirt, and contaminants that the blinds have collected.

To eliminate unpleasant odors, the expert suggested adding a few drops of essential oil to the vacuum cleaner bag.

"If your vacuum cleaner is without a bag, you can put 5 to 10 drops of essential oil on a cloth and place it directly into the empty vacuum container to give your curtains and room a new, fresh scent," the expert said.

Housewives who don't have vacuum cleaners can opt for other solutions, such as sponges. The microfiber cloth should remove all the dust on the blinds. It is best to start at the top and work your way down to the bottom of the blind.

For fabric blinds, some experts suggest placing them in a bath with warm water, baking soda, and soap. However, hot water should be avoided as it can damage the blinds.
