High-ranking Russian military officer, who ordered to seize Kyiv-Antonov-2 airfield, is served a notice of suspicion
Law enforcement officers served a notice of suspicion to the deputy commander of the Russian Airborne Forces. It was he who gave the order to seize the Kyiv Antonov-2 airfield and ensured the invasion of the terrorist country's units into Ukraine.
This was reported by the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office. The war criminal faces up to fifteen years in prison or life imprisonment.
According to the prosecutor's office, the deputy commander of the airborne troops of the Russian Armed Forces organised training and gave orders to destroy and capture ground targets and other objects on the territory of Ukraine. In particular, with the use of Russian military aircraft.
"Among these objects is the infrastructure of the Kyiv Antonov-2 airfield of the Antonov State Aviation Enterprise. Thus, he ensured a large-scale invasion of the territory of Ukraine by Russian troops with the aim of occupying it. These actions of the suspect led to the deaths of people, including children, and injuries of varying severity. They also caused material damage in the form of destruction of buildings, property and infrastructure," the press service said.
The offender was served a notice of suspicion of committing intentional actions to change the boundaries of the territory and state border of Ukraine, which led to the death of people, as well as of waging an aggressive war. He faces up to fifteen years in prison or life imprisonment with or without confiscation of property.
As OBOZREVATEL previously reported, law enforcement officers have served suspicion notices to Russian servicemen involved in war crimes. During the occupation of Kyiv region, they shot at civilian cars.
