The famous French footballer Florent Malouda has taken a liking to the Ukrainian legionnaire of Chelsea, Mykhailo Mudryk. The former player of the English team, with which he won the Champions League, noted that our compatriot can have a significant impact on the team's performance.

Malouda expressed this opinion in an interview with ICE 36, Goal.com reports. The 2006 world vice-champion compared Mudryk to Real Madrid winger Vinicius Junior. He advised the Ukraine international to maintain the same confidence and relaxation that Mykhailo showed in his first game for Chelsea against Liverpool.

"Mudryk is very talented. When he made his debut, he looked very impressive when he came on. I think he approached that game fresh, full of confidence, and we could all see his huge potential. Look at the example of Vinicius. I think it's a good comparison and also the right role model. He should look at how Vinicius developed as a reference point. I think Mudryk can have the same impact on Chelsea as Vinicius had on Madrid. He needs to work hard, have the right mentality - he can become a leader at Chelsea," Malouda said.

The day before, Chelsea lost to Real Madrid in the first quarter-final match of the Champions League (0: 2). Mudryk spent the entire game on the bench.

As OBOZREVATEL previously reported, experts of the well-known football portal Goal.com named the main reason for Mykhailo Mudryk's failures at Chelsea.
