Kursk, Russia, which was attacked by drones on the day of its 991st anniversary, has decided to cancel the city's fireworks display. Local authorities called the goal "peace and safety of residents".
A statement was made by the mayor of Kursk, Igor Kutsak. "Due to the recent events, I have decided to cancel the fireworks in honor of the City Day. I think it will be reasonable from the point of view of peace and safety of the residents," he wrote on his Telegram channel.
He also called on residents of Kursk to promptly call emergency services in case of "detection of suspicious objects."

On Sunday morning, September 24, Kursk reported a drone attack on an administrative building in the city center.
According to OBOZREVATEL's sources in the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, the FSB building in Kursk was preliminarily attacked, as well as an oil refinery near the airfield.
