On Thursday, August 10, a commission of the Ministry of Culture came to Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra in the morning to check and seal several more buildings. However, the work of specialists immediately began to interfere with the supporters of the UOC-MP, who blocked the work of the employees of the National Reserve and called them names.

This was reported by a correspondent of OBOZREVATEL. Representatives of the Moscow Patriarchate had to leave the territory of the Lavra until July 4 (to watch the video, scroll to the end of the page).

So, in the morning, August 10, the commission of the Ministry of Culture came to the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra to check and seal several more buildings, including stores and hotels. However, its representatives could not start their work because the doors were blocked by the UOC-MP believers.

Despite the presence of law enforcement officers monitoring law and order, the commission members were unable to get inside the buildings and seal them. After that, they decided to return to the administration of the National Reserve.

It should be added that while the representatives of the Ministry of Culture were walking through the territory of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, the believers of the Moscow Patriarchate harassed them and constantly insulted them, calling them "freaks", reasoning that they were "defending their church". For their part, the employees of the National Park did not react to the provocations and calmly returned to their workplaces.

We shall remind you that the Ukrainian Ministry of Culture and Information Policy decided to unilaterally terminate the contract with the monastery of the Holy Assumption Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra. The monks of the UOC-MP had to leave the territory of the Lavra by July 4. Before that, the Economic Court of Kyiv refused the UOC-MP in access and conduct services on the territory of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra.

As OBOZREVATEL wrote, the Economic Court of Kyiv recognized as lawful the termination of the contract concluded between the monastery of the UOC-MP and the National Reserve "Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra". The meeting was held on Wednesday, August 9.
