In Kyiv, Security Service officers exposed and detained an agent of the Russian FSB. The offender wanted to enter the school of the "Army of Drones" in order to further spy on the Ukrainian military.

This was reported by the press service of the SSU Main Directorate in Kyiv and Kyiv region. The suspect faces 15 years in prison or life imprisonment(scroll to the bottom of the page to watch the video).

"SSU officers conducted a multi-stage special operation that resulted in the detention of another FSB agent in Kyiv. He was collecting intelligence on special units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the SSU specializing in the use of unmanned aerial vehicles. The enemy agent received the relevant task from his Russian "curator" in late summer this year. To fulfill it, the aggressor's accomplice tried to enroll in one of the Kyiv schools of the "Army of Drones," the press service said.

The Security Service added that after enrollment, the offender was to establish the locations of the Defense Forces training grounds, where cadets are trained to operate attack and reconnaissance drones. He also planned to identify the locations of Ukrainian special forces UAVs and their drones.

"According to available data, the occupiers were preparing to use the intelligence information of their agent to carry out targeted air attacks on the facilities of the Armed Forces and the Security Service. In addition, the offender walked the streets of Kyiv and, as an ordinary resident, recorded the locations of Ukrainian defenders in the city," the Security Service said,

It is noted that in case of successful completion of enemy tasks, the Russian invaders "guaranteed" their agent a monetary reward, which was to be credited to his bank card. SSU officers exposed the offender in a timely manner and detained him red-handed while he was photographing one of the military units in the capital.

According to the investigation, the enemy accomplice was a 49-year-old businessman from Kyiv, who was remotely recruited by a representative of the Russian FSB two months ago. He came to the attention of the aggressor through his anti-Ukrainian posts on one of the Russian Telegram channels. Further communication was carried out through an anonymous chat in the messenger.

The detainee was served a notice of suspicion of high treason committed under martial law.

As OBOZREVATEL previously reported, SBU officers detained agents of the Russian terrorist country who adjusted the attack on Kyiv on September 21. The main targets of the enemy attack were the capital's life support facilities, including energy generating enterprises.
