As a result of counter-sabotage measures, the Security Service of Ukraine detained a Russian agent in the Kirovohrad region who was reconnoitering the locations of Ukrainian defence industry enterprises. The intelligence services of the aggressor country remotely engaged her in cooperation.

This was reported by the SBU press service on March 17. As noted, the spy was a resident of the Oleksandriya district (scroll down to the bottom to see the photo).

On the instructions of her handlers, the woman collected data on the location of military and critical infrastructure facilities in the Kirovohrad region.

First of all, the Russian intelligence services were interested in enterprises that fulfil state defence orders for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The offender was to send the data via messenger through "contacts" who are part of the occupation groups on the eastern front.

The aggressor needed the information from the spy to prepare a series of missile strikes.

However, the SBU was proactive and timely detained the traitor when she was photographing one of the enterprises.

The SBU seized the phone she was using to take pictures of georeferenced objects and to communicate with the enemy.

She was served a notice of suspicion under Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (high treason committed under martial law). She faces up to 15 years in prison or life imprisonment with confiscation of property.

The issue of taking the suspect into custody is being decided.

Investigators continue to establish all the circumstances of the crime

- The SBU detained an FSB agent, a resident of Kharkiv, who was preparing terrorist attacks against Ukrainian special forces and military pilots. He was caught trying to pass the information to the enemy.

- SBU officers served a notice of suspicion to the rector of the UOC-MP church in Uzhhorod. He is accused of inciting religious hatred. It was established that in December he publicly insulted the religious feelings of believers who wished to celebrate Christmas on December 25.

- The SBU exposed an agent group of the Russian GRU, which was leaking the positions of Ukrainian defenders near Bakhmut to the aggressor. The group consisted of two residents of Kramatorsk, one of whom was a nurse of a territorial defence forces.
