What's known about the Duffryn Mawr Country House

A couple decided to retreat to the beautifully renovated Duffryn Mawr country house in Bannau's Breeheiniog National Park. It offers a panoramic view of the mountains.

The 500-year-old house can accommodate 16 people and has a 40-foot kitchen with a billiard room, bar, exercise room, yoga and relaxation area, and a spa with steam and hot tub.

The couple stayed at the Duffryn Mawr House, which rents for about £900 a night, and ate at the local Bluebell Country Inn in Glengwyn, Crickhowell. The hotel, which has eight rooms and was completely renovated in 2022, describes itself as "offering a warm Welsh welcome."

It can accommodate 16 guests.

All of the rooms at Duffryn Mawr, also usable as a wedding venue, are named after the local mountains in the area, and the main room has a balcony that offers stunning views of the surrounding area.
