A list of best SUV cars for bad roads
Poor pavement quality is not a Ukrainian problem only. Potholes do not add comfort when traveling and can even cause damage to the car.
Experts have made a rating of the best cars for bad roads. According to Drive Mitsubishi Pajero Sport and Toyota Fortuner are on top of the list.
The Mitsubishi Pajero Sport offers good value as an all-wheel-drive station wagon. However, the model may look a bit outdated at the moment. The Mitsubishi's competitor is the South Korean Ssangyong Rexton.
Isuzu MU-X and Toyota Fortuner are comfortable to drive and they are worthy of attention too if you are ready to pay more.
There's also the Ford Everest, which offers the newest and safest features.
The Kia Sportage will be about the same size as the Forester. The car can be bought with an efficient diesel engine, although the SX+ and GT-Line with good specs will get 19-inch wheels.
You can also opt for the Sorento. However, experts advise avoiding the top-of-the-line GT-Line with its 20-inch wheels. There are several reasons why large-diameter wheels should be avoided. Smaller diameter options (like 18-inch wheels) give you a looser tire sidewall, which can better absorb shocks and provide a better ride quality in general. They are also more resistant to damage and are less expensive to replace.
