What you can make from yesterday's mashed potatoes for lunch: a very simple dish

If you have some leftover mashed potatoes from yesterday, you don't need to throw them away. The product can be used to make a full meal: fried zrazy. And to add juiciness to the products, add mushroom sauce.

The idea of cooking potato zrazy with mushroom sauce for lunch was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Emiliia Yevtushenko (emiliya.yevtushenko). Don't forget to put mozzarella inside as it adds a special flavor.

Ingredients:

  • mashed potatoes (8 potatoes)
  • 1 egg
  • a pinch of salt
  • 4 tbsp of flour
  • mozzarella

Ingredients for the sauce:

  • 1 onion
  • mushrooms
  • 50 g of butter
  • 100 ml of cream or sour cream
  • salt
  • herbs

Method of preparation:

1. Stir mashed potatoes well.

2. Add salt, egg and flour.

3. Knead by hand and form patties. Put a piece of mozzarella in each pattie.

4. Fry in vegetable oil on 2 sides.

5. Fry onions and mushrooms for the sauce.

6. Add butter and cream.

7. Boil for a minute and you can eat.
