It is forbidden to eat meat during Lent. However, this product can be replaced. Of course, it won't taste the same, but it will be very similar. The nutritional value is also almost the same. We are talking about ordinary beans. If you combine them with vegetables, tomato sauce, and herbs, you get a very satisfying lobio dish, which is served even in restaurants.

Ingredients:
- beans - 500 g
- carrot - 1 pc.
- blue onion - 1 pc.
- garlic - 3 cloves
- tomato paste - 3 tbsp.
- water - 100-150 ml.
- parsley/dill - 2 sprigs each
- walnuts - a handful
Method of preparation:

1. Soak beans for several hours. You can leave them overnight.
2. Boil until tender.
3. Cut onion into half rings.

4. Grate carrots.
5. Fry the onion until golden brown. Add the carrots, finely chopped garlic and tomato paste and mix.

6. Simmer for 5 minutes and add water.

7. Add boiled beans, salt, and herbs.
