What to make from chicken, mushrooms and cheese for lunch: a very hearty and budget-friendly dish

The combination of chicken, mushrooms and cheese is found in many dishes. It is very tasty and nutritious. Therefore, if you have the listed ingredients in the fridge, it is worth making a lunch that everyone will like.

The idea of making creamy julienne for lunch was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Natalia with the nickname nata.cooking. The more cheese, the better.

Ingredients:

  • 500 g chicken fillet
  • 250 g of mushrooms
  • 200 ml of 20% cream
  • 1 onion
  • 1-2 cloves of garlic
  • 1 tbsp olive oil + 20 g butter for frying
  • 1/2 tsp salt, 1/4 tsp pepper, 1/4 tsp nutmeg, 1 tsp Italian herbs
  • 100-150 g of mozzarella cheese
  • 50 g of parmesan cheese
  • 75 g of brie cheese

Method of preparation:

1. Cut chicken fillet into cubes or strips.

2. Cut mushrooms into slices and chop garlic and onion.

3. Heat a frying pan, add oil and melt butter.

4. Add the garlic and onion mass and fry for 1-2 minutes.

5. Add the chicken. Fry until cooked and add the mushrooms.

6. Simmer for 5 minutes until the moisture evaporates.

7. Add spices and pour cream (warm or at room temperature, not cold).

8. Cook over medium heat until thickened.

9. Put julienne in baking dishes (or in one large), sprinkle with mozzarella and parmesan cheese and add slices of brie cheese. Put in the oven.

10. Bake at 180 degrees for 15 minutes until golden brown.
