Tastier than honey cake: lazy orange and honey muffin for tea

Citrus fruits and honey are the perfect combination for making delicious and flavorful homemade pastries. To ensure that desserts with honey are moderately sweet, do not add too much honey.

Cook Victoria shared a recipe for a delicious and very simple honey and orange cake for tea on Instagram.

Ingredients:

• 400 g of flour
• 300 g of honey
• 250 g of sour cream
• 150 g of soft butter
• 70 g of sugar
• 4 egg yolks
• 2 tsp of baking soda
• 2 tsp. ground cinnamon
• 1/2 orange
• lemon zest

Method of preparation:

1. Add sugar to soft butter and beat with a mixer. Add egg yolks one by one and continue beating until light. Add sour cream and beat again.

2. Then add honey, orange juice, zest, sifted flour, cinnamon, and baking soda and beat with a mixer until smooth.

3. Pour the prepared mass into a baking dish covered with parchment, smooth out and bake for 40 minutes at 170 C.

After baking, let the cake cool, and cut off the edges that you need for the crumbs. Spread honey on top of the muffin, then sprinkle with crumbs, and garnish with orange slices if desired!
