Simple dough for dumplings and varenyky: the dish will turn out perfect

It is not necessary to prepare separate types of dough for dumplings and varenyky. You can make one universal dough for all products. If you use the following technology, the base will be very loose and elastic.

The idea of making a universal dough for dumplings and varenyky is published on the yummy_food_uaa Instagram page. When boiled, the products will not stick together or boil over.

Ingredients:

  • 800 g flour (wheat)
  • 0.5 tsp of salt
  • 4 tbsp of oil
  • 375 ml of boiling water
  • 1 egg

Ingredients for the filling:

  • 600-700 g of minced meat (pork)
  • 1 large onion
  • spices to taste

Method of preparation:

1. Sift flour into a bowl.

2. Mix egg with salt and oil.

3. Add to the flour and mix.

4. Add boiling water and knead the dough, first with a spatula or a spoon, then with your hands.

5. Cover with a towel or plastic wrap and leave the dough for 15-20 minutes.

6. Mix minced meat with finely chopped (or ground) onion and spices.

7. Make dumplings using a dumpling maker or by hand. You can also make varynyky from this dough.
