1. For the dough, combine warm milk, yeast, flour, orange zest, vanilla, and turmeric.

2. Mix with a whisk until smooth.

3. Cover with a towel and leave for 15 minutes.

4. Meanwhile, beat eggs in a deep bowl.

5. Add sugar and beat with a mixer until light (10-15 minutes). Add melted butter, the starter and mix thoroughly again.

6. Add sifted flour in several stages and mix first with a whisk and then knead on the surface with your hands.

7. Grease your hands with vegetable oil so that the dough sticks less to your hands and kneads better. At first, it will be very sticky and fall apart, but be patient. It will become very elastic after a while. Knead by hand for 15 minutes. You can also use a planetary mixer.

8. Put the finished dough in a bowl greased with vegetable oil and leave it in a warm place for 1-2 hours. It is important that there are no drafts in the room.

9. Divide the dough into 3 parts, depending on the size of your baking dish, and roll each into a rectangle.
