To make canned tomatoes spicy and juicy, a lot of different spices are put into the jar. If you use the following technology, you will need only one ingredient for the best flavor. It is very budget-friendly.

The idea of making canned tomatoes for the winter with carrot tops was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Maria Shemet (mashashemet). The tomatoes do not fall apart in the jar.

Ingredients:

  • tomatoes
  • carrot tops
  • garlic

Ingredients for the marinade for 2.5 liters of water:

  • 10 tbsp. sugar
  • 2.5 tbsp of salt
  • 150 ml of vinegar 9%

Method of preparation:

1. Put two cloves of garlic on the bottom of each sterilized jar and add well-washed carrots.

2. Arrange the tomatoes.

3. Be sure to make punctures with a toothpick in the area of the stalk.

3. Pour boiling water over everything, cover, and leave it for 30 minutes.

4. Then drain the water and prepare the marinade at the same time so that the tomatoes do not have time to cool.

5. Add sugar and salt to the water and cook for 3-4 minutes.

6. When everything has dissolved, add vinegar and leave to boil for another minute, then pour the marinade into jars.

7. Roll up. Turn the lids down and wrap them until they cool completely.
