No boiling or baking: how to cook beets in 15 minutes
Beetroot is a very healthy, tasty and valuable vegetable that can be the basis for light salads and Ukrainian borscht. It is also used to make an old Ukrainian dish called shpundra (meat stewed or baked with beetroot and beetroot kvass). The most important thing in cooking beets is to cook them well so that they are not raw and hard.
Cook Iryna (iren.lazun) shared a useful tip on how to cook beets in just 15 minutes without boiling or baking them in the oven on Instagram.
Ingredients:
- beets - 2-3 pcs.
Method of preparation:
1. Wash beets and cut off the "tails".
2. Put them in a baking sleeve and add water so that it covers the beets. Tie the sleeve tightly, make three punctures with a knife and place in a deep plate.
3. Microwave for 15 minutes.
4. Take it out, check its doneness with a knife. Let it cool down and you can prepare delicious, healthy dishes.
