How to use frozen cherries from last summer: a very simple and tasty way

It is not always possible to use frozen cherries that were harvested in the summer during the winter. So if you still have a lot of berries, make a versatile filling out of them. It can be used for a variety of desserts.

Recipe for a universal cherry filling

Ingredients:

  • frozen cherries - 300 g
  • sugar - 80 g
  • corn starch - 30 g
  • rum or cognac (for flavoring if desired) - 20 g

Method of preparation:

1. Heat the cherries in a saucepan a little.

2. Gradually add sugar mixed with starch.

3. Brew until thickened, stirring constantly.

4. Add rum/cognac and stir.

6. Put the filling in a plate, cover with cling film, and cool.
