Fluffy sponge cake "Miracle on Steam": tastier than "Medovik"

"Miracle on Steam" is a fluffy sponge cake with sour cream cream. It tastes similar to the popular Medovik, but is much faster and easier to prepare. For cool, cozy evenings, this dessert is the perfect tea time treat.

The idea for the Steamed Miracle cake was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Natalia Ryzhkova natali_ryzkova). It should make 5 cakes.

Ingredients:

• eggs - 2 pcs.
• honey - 2 tbsp
• sugar - 1 cup (200 grams)
• flour - 3-4 cups (500-550 g)

• butter - 50
• baking soda - 1 tsp.

Ingredients for the sour cream:

• 700 ml of sour cream (homemade cream)
• 200 g of sugar
• 1 pack of vanilla sugar

Method of preparation:

1. Dilute the oil to a liquid state in a water bath.

2. Add sugar, honey and baking soda.

3. Stir until everything melts and the soda reacts.

4. Beat the eggs (yolks and whites) and pour them into the warm honey mass.

5. Add the flour. This dough should make 5 cakes.

6. Bake the cakes for 7 minutes at 170 degrees.

7. Spread the cooled cakes with sour cream.

8. Garnish with chocolate or crumbs on top.
