On Thursday, May 11, the second semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 kicked off in Liverpool. This time, representatives of 16 countries will compete for the final. This year, 16-year-old Victor Vernicos will represent Greece, and he wrote his entry song called What They Say when he was 14, when he was going through "anxious moments"...

The boy became the youngest participant in the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 and the youngest representative of Greece in the history of the country. OBOZREVATEL learned about this while watching the live broadcast.

The young contestant has been playing music since the age of four. He was chosen from 106 participants at the national selection in Greece. However, bookmakers do not believe in the young man's success - they predict him to finish 29th in the standings.

In the second semi-final, Victor dedicated his performance and song to the younger generation who dream and create despite the difficulties. According to the singer himself, his single, written in 2021, encourages him to share his feelings and emotions.

"Well, you know what they say / Lost souls make sure no one goes astray / It hurts to see others suffer / Oh, I'm both now, I've got too much on my plate / And I'm saving everyone else because it's too much for me," the contestant sang.
