Wives of the Playboy founder. What do Hugh Hefner's three wives look like who turned a blind eye to his numerous infidelities?
Hugh Hefner, the founder of the iconic Playboy magazine, was married three times during his life and had many affairs with his "rabbit" models. The publisher first married in 1949, when he was 23. Little is known about his first wife and mother of two older children, Millie Williams. Some might assume that she must have suffered in her marriage to a womanizer who constantly cheated on her. However, strangely enough, it was Millie, not Hugh, who failed in this marriage because of her infidelity.
Hefner would later call his lover's betrayal "the most devastating moment of my life." On the legend's birthday, OBOZ.UA decided to recall all the official wives of the Playboy founder. On April 9, he would have turned 98 years old.
Millie Williams
So, it is not known for certain where and under what circumstances young Hugh Hefner met his first wife. Millie, aka Mildred, was born on March 20, 1926. She began dating the ambitious young man right after graduating from high school. When Hefner returned from the army, he decided to start a family with his beloved. The couple tied the knot on June 25, 1949, when they were both 23 years old.
The newlyweds were happy, and later a girl, Christy (November 8, 1952), and a boy, David (August 30, 1955), were born to their union.
However, even then the relationship between the couple was very tense. The fact is that Millie had an affair with another man while Hefner was serving in the army. Feeling guilty about her infidelity, Williams allowed her husband to sleep with other women. She hoped that this would help Hefner forgive her and save their marriage. However, this did not happen.
In an interview, Hefner said: "I was literally saving myself for my wife, but after we had sex, she told me that she was having an affair. It was the most devastating moment in my life. My wife was more experienced sexually than I was. After that, I always felt that there was another guy in bed with us."
In 1959, the Playboy man divorced Mildred Williams and lived as a bachelor for the next 30 years. Meanwhile, he had new partners at the speed of light, including, of course, exceptionally busty models.
Kimberly Conrad
Hugh Hefner married the American model, who has graced the cover of Playboy more than once, in 1989. Kimberly Conrad gave birth to two more sons to her millionaire husband: Marston Glenn Hefner (who shares a birthday with his father, April 9, 1990) and Cooper Bradford Hefner (September 4, 1991).
It is known that the model was able to transform the famous Playboy mansion into a more suitable place for children.
After nine years of marriage, Conrad and Hefner divorced, although they remained legally married. The publisher commented at the time: "I would have been happy to divorce her as soon as we separated, but she wanted to stay married for the sake of our boys."
After the breakup, Conrad moved into a house next door to the Playboy Mansion. The divorce was finally finalized in March 2010. It is known that all this time, from 2000 to 2010, Hefner lived in his luxurious mansion with 7 different girls aged 18 to 28.
Crystal Harris
Hefner's third and last wife was another Playboy model, Crystal Harris, who was as much as 60 years younger than her chosen one! Of course, neither the press nor the fans believed in the sincerity of Crystal's feelings, suspecting her of pursuing exclusively mercantile goals.
The publisher, then 85 years old, announced his engagement to a 25-year-old model in December 2010. The wedding was supposed to take place on June 18 the following year, but less than a week later, Hefner unexpectedly canceled it. Nevertheless, on December 31, 2012, Crystal Harris became Crystal Hefner.
Later, in her memoirs, Crystal revealed that it was allegedly she who broke off her engagement to the publisher four days before their wedding, scheduled for June. As the model admitted, she was never in love with Hugh. According to the book, the blonde accepted the proposal, but eventually decided to leave the millionaire and return to her ex. Obviously, nothing worked out in that relationship, so the "rabbit" returned to the mansion and Hefner directly.
According to the clauses of the marriage contract, the publisher's young wife did not receive her husband's inheritance after his death. However, Hefner bought her a house for $5 million and left her all her jewelry.
As OBOZ.UA previously reported, Crystal Hefner first revealed what her husband's last words were shortly before his death on September 27, 2017. In those days, the businessman was fighting an infection.
