Who is Anisha Rosna, who stole the heart of Asia's most desirable bachelor: she owns a clothing brand and her grandfather was an advisor to the sultan

Who is Anisha Rosna, wife of the Prince of Brunei

Little was known about Anisha Rosna, the bride and now wife of Prince Abdul Mateen of Brunei, before the wedding. After the 10-day wedding banquet, which lasted from January 7 to 16, details about the chosen one of Asia's most desirable man leaked out. It turned out that the woman is an entrepreneur, having her own clothing brand Silk Collective, and is also a co-owner of the Authentirary travel agency.

Earlier, until 2022, Anisha had an Instagram page with a food blog, where she constantly published recipes, the Daily Mail reports. In particular, the couple had known each other since childhood. A photo of Abdul, Anisha, and her brother Danial as children surfaced online.

If it were not for Anisha's prestigious background, it is not known whether she would be seen today with the prince. The girl's grandfather, Pehin Dato Isa, was a special adviser to Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah, and in the 60s and 70s of the last century he held top positions in the Brunei government, including deputy attorney general and deputy chief minister.

It is known that the couple had been dating for several years, but they did not talk about their relationship. However, according to childhood photos, the royals have known each other for a long time.

Another proof of this is a selection of photos from the wedding published on Prince Abdul's page, where he added a photo with his beloved at a young age. In the photo, the 3-year older Mateen is sitting next to Anisha, who is feeding from a bottle.

Abdul Mateen announced his marriage at the end of December last year, posting a photo with his beloved. Although he didn't say anything about the marriage, the large ring on Anisha's ring finger hinted at it.

The wedding of the Sultan's "favorite son" lasted 10 days and was divided between several religious traditions:

  • The Khatam Al Quran ceremony, when Anisha had to read the Quran from beginning to end in public for several days in a row;
  • The Berbedak Mandi ceremony, in other words, "powdering," when the bride and groom are given powdered paste on their hands;
  • Receiving gifts.
