9-year-old Matvii Brus suddenly gained immense popularity among Ukrainians as he became a star of the network after performing the viral hit "Easter will be here soon." Now the boy volunteers with his family and uses his popularity to help the soldiers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces who are defending the independence of our country.

The young internet celebrity's father, Volodymyr Brus, who has his own YouTube channel, has formed a team with another blogger from Cherkasy region, Oleksii Vasylchenko, to double their support for the defenders, according to a story by "Yedyni Novyny." They are holding live broadcasts to raise funds, and Matvii is actively involved in this activity because he is popular with the network users.

"They (viewers – Ed.) give money for my songs. They like it. And then this money is spent on FPV drones and cars," the boy said.

During live broadcasts, bloggers' subscribers can win valuable items such as lawn mower, tools, or crafts for relatively small donations. According to Volodymyr Brus, the largest amount they have managed to raise during one broadcast is 640 thousand hryvnias.

Internet activists have already sent more than 900 drones to the Ukrainian Armed Forces and do not plan to stop. Despite his young age, Matvii Brus realizes the importance of helping our defenders, so he addresses his fans with a grown-up message.

"You know what I'll tell you, you can't wait for Easter if you don't give money to drones," the network star said.

Earlier, in an exclusive interview with OBOZ.UA, Volodymyr Brus said that even though Matviiko understands his sudden popularity, he does not have "star disease" at all. According to his father, the boy has always liked to take part in filming videos: "When I record something of my own, he often comes running: "Let me say something!" He is present in almost every video I make: he can sing a song or recite a poem. If he's not there, there are a lot of comments under the video: "Where is Matvii?"

By the way, as Volodymyr Brus noted, they did not receive a penny from the viral video. The fact is that monetization on TikTok is only available when live broadcasts are held. However, the Brus family actively helps the military with the help of a YouTube channel with 290 thousand subscribers.
