Serhii Harmash actively cooperated with the occupation administration in Kherson. He also supported Russian troops during the presentation of the movie Cheburashka in occupied Henichesk. After that, he again disappeared from prying eyes and only at the beginning of 2025 appeared at the funeral of a Russian woman in Moscow. However, his propaganda activities speak for themselves, as the actor became one of more than 500 confidants of dictator Vladimir Putin in the Russian presidential election. The actor did not even think of renouncing this "position".

It is interesting that at the beginning of the war in 2014, Serhii Harmash opposed the leader of the aggressor country, namely the military aggression in Crimea.
