What place did Ukrainian Alina Ponomarenko take at Miss Universe 2024?

Alina Ponomarenko, the representative of Ukraine at the Miss Universe 2024 international beauty and talent contest in Mexico, failed to make it to the top 30 contestants, so she left the show quite early. Instead, 21-year-old Victoria Kjær from Denmark became the winner.

The Ukrainian managed to show a national costume called "The Power of the Earth" and her image in a swimsuit. Photos from the fashion show were posted on Instagram by Miss Universe Ukraine.

First, Ponomarenko came out in the national costume "The Power of the Earth". Her image symbolizes the Ukrainian land covered with strong armor that protects the state. The costume is based on the materials used to create protective armor, as well as metallized silver artificial leather. The jumpsuit is made of biflex covered with the author's floral print.

"This armor is created from the indestructibility and courage of Ukrainian defenders, the resilience of their families who are waiting for their sons, daughters, husbands, and fathers to come back from the war. If Ukraine were a woman, it would look exactly like this: alive, tender and blooming, and at the same time strong as steel," commented Ponomarenko.

In the next stage, the model appeared in front of the public in a bikini. She wore a blue swimsuit, which she combined with high heels and a translucent cape.

For the third time, Alina Ponomarenko took to the stage in a nude Sherri Hill evening gown. She opted for a fitted dress with a deep slit on the skirt that exposed her leg and a V-neckline.
