"Went on a mission and disappeared": actress Anastasia Karpenko says her husband did not respond for 17 days

Actress Anastasia Karpenko ("Doctor Kovalchuk", "Servant of the People") admitted that she is going through a very difficult time because her closest relatives are at the front. In an interview with OBOZ.UA, the actress said that her husband Max Nikolaienko has to "reacquaint himself with the world of peaceful life" during short-term vacations.

Anastasia also recalled a difficult story that happened to her husband at the front line. The actress says that while waiting for a call from her beloved, she cried all her tears.

"Recently, my husband warned me that he would go on a mission for 10 days and would not be in touch," Anastasia says. "In fact, he was gone for 17 days. And all this time I could not find out anything from anyone. You can imagine what I went through. Every morning started with tears, I woke up and cried. I prayed that all these days would finally lead to the moment when he would call. But I realized that this might not happen. If someone called from an unfamiliar number, I was afraid to answer the phone... It's hard, but I'm holding on. I'm not the only one, many women have the same situation. And some of them that I know have lost their husbands."

Anastasia admits that when her husband comes home on vacation, he has to "reacquaint himself with the world of peaceful life". "But we manage to solve all this quickly. After all, he can come back for only three days, and we don't have time to get reacquainted."

The actress admits that her daughter Maria misses her father very much, "She is now at the age when she needs her father. She already understands his role and value in her life. We try to be as loving and understanding as possible on the days he comes home. Talk a lot, listen. And celebrate. We try to celebrate these three days that we have."

The actress's older brother is also at the front, "We also see each other, although very occasionally. His family moved to Germany and plans to stay there for now, so he doesn't need to come to the rear often. But when he does, we definitely see each other. We live with our mom now. So when my brother comes, he comes to see the three of us: my mom, me and our little one."
