"We will not live in Russia." The star of the TV series "The Kitchen" admitted how her Russian husband opened her eyes

Ukrainian actress Kateryna Kuznetsova, known for the TV series Kitchen, spoke about the position of her Russian husband. Until February 24, 2022, the celebrity lived and worked in Russia, but after the full-scale invasion, she cut all ties with the aggressor country.

The Ukrainian woman met her beloved Maxim Aplin, a Russian businessman, in 2017. It was he who, long before the full-scale war in Ukraine, shared his disappointment with the Russian government and its actions. In particular, the Russian was impressed by the resilience of Ukrainians after the annexation of Crimea. Kuznetsova spoke about this in an interview with host Oleksiy Sukhanov.

"He immediately told me: "We will not live in Russia". And I told him that I had projects, so I couldn't. He said: "Katiusha, time will pass, you will understand everything, we will leave," the actress said.

According to her, her husband was very interested in politics. Aplin visited Moscow 2-3 months a year, and spent the rest of the time in Sri Lanka for work.

"He has always supported both my family and me. That's why he has a Russian passport, but his heart has always been with Ukraine," Kuznetsova says.

The star adds that the couple has never had any disputes over political views. In addition, after February 2022, the Ukrainian woman's lover cut out friends who support the war and those who "have not decided on their position" from their lives.
