This video will make you cry: a little refugee sings Let it go at a Polish airport in Ukrainian, going viral

Amelia Anisovich sings Let it go from Frozen with Emilio Piano at the airport

A video showing a charming little girl daring to approach the famous piano blogger Emilio Piano and asking him to play a tune from the Frozen cartoon for her went viral. The musician was surprised when the tiny beauty started singing. At first, the girl sang in English, but then suddenly switched to Ukrainian, delighting netizens from Ukraine. As the viewers later realized, they saw Amelia Anisovich. This is the same girl who sang for people in the Kyiv bomb shelter during the missile attack at the beginning of the full-scale invasion.

Amelia currently lives with her family in Poland, where they were able to leave shortly after February 24, 2022. It was at the Polish airport that she met the piano blogger. The video with the Ukrainian woman on Emilio Piano's TikTok page has garnered (at the time of writing) more than 53 million views and 4.2 million likes. These numbers continue to grow.

"This girl almost brought me to tears... Today I was waiting for my flight at the airport and decided to play the piano, when suddenly a girl asked me to play Let It Go from Frozen," the musician shared in the video description.

Amelia's sincere and penetrating look alone cannot leave anyone indifferent. However, when the girl started singing, and later switched to Ukrainian, Internet users could not hold back their tears. They wrote about it in the comments.

"I roared when she switched to Ukrainian. Our flowers. They are worth fighting for", "The moment when you watch a cute foreign video and hear Ukrainian... I thought it's a glitch but realized it's not and started crying...", "I got goosebumps when I heard Ukrainian words. The girl is an angel", "Why am I crying? The girl has such a kind look in eyes," users leave these and other comments.

At the airport in Poland, a little Ukrainian refugee attracted a lot of attention. People stopped and watched her impromptu performance with delight. And at the end, the girl gently hugged the pianist, which further touched both the users and offline audience.

As we've already mentioned, Amelia Anisovich is a Ukrainian schoolgirl who, at the age of seven, gained fame for performing in a shelter during a Russian missile attack in Kyiv. At that time, she also performed the soundtrack from the Frozen cartoon, hoping that it would calm and comfort all the people who were hiding in the bomb shelter from enemy shells in fear.

Then the video with Amelia went viral. It was published by the world's leading media outlets, such as the BBC, The Independent, Dailymail, NBC and others.

Amelia herself, her mother, and her older brother later ended up in Poland, where she started going to school. The girl recalled her performance in the bomb shelter, "I think that the song helped others to cheer up. When I started singing, everyone stopped talking. Even the children stopped crying."

On March 20, 2022, a charity concert in support of Ukraine was held in Poland. Amelia was honored to open it. The girl's mother, Lilia Anisovich, said at the time, "My daughter is adored in Poland. She is like a national hero. The singer Tina Karol performed at the concert, made friends with Amelia and supported her. It was my daughter's first performance on stage. She was nervous. But I knew she would do well. The child likes it in Poland. It's safe here, and we've all become calmer. Amelia feels it. But she misses her father, friends and school very much."
