The Ukrainian music band ANTYTILA, which often travels abroad for charity concerts to draw the world's attention to the war in Ukraine, has recently completed the second stage of its tour in the United States with the Culture VS War project. Taras Topolya and his colleagues have been cooperating with the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine for some time now, so they plan to donate the proceeds to this military body.

During the tour, ANTYTILA managed to raise 250 thousand dollars (over 10 million hryvnias) for the needs of Ukrainian intelligence. The band's press service told OBOZ.UA that a unique artifact of war was sold at the auction - an intact Orlan-10 reconnaissance UAV. It was used by the Russians to observe and adjust their artillery.

It was sold in Chicago for 15 thousand dollars (over 600 thousand hryvnias). Among other things, about 600 kilograms of ANTYTILA's battle trophies were delivered to the United States to be auctioned off among Ukrainian and American guests. The group plans to use the proceeds to buy a boat for the DIU's special forces working in the Crimea.

The Culture VS War project, in which the band participated, was created to show the truth about the war unleashed by Russia abroad through the format of documentary stories of famous artists who joined the Armed Forces and cultural figures who are now engaged in volunteer work.

ANTYTILA and the entire project team traveled to Philadelphia, Boston, New York, Chicago, Minneapolis, and Washington, D.C., to hold open meetings with the American and Ukrainian communities there. The events featured screenings of Culture VS War, followed by an open discussion with the audience.

"The documentary footage of the first months of the full-scale invasion, sincere emotions and personal stories of the band members - soldiers Taras Topolya, Serhiy Vusyk and Dmytro Zholud about their work as paramedics at the front, really impressed the audience. And the opportunity to communicate with the musicians live, sing their favorite hits together, raise difficult and important topics, ask any questions, ask for advice, or simply express their opinions and be heard gave each event its own special meaning," the press service said.

Taras Topolya, the leader of ANTYTILA, commented on his involvement in the project and the tour of America: "In total, we held more than ten open and closed events, met with the vice mayor of Boston, two U.S. senators, consuls and ambassadors of many key European partner countries of Ukraine. We talked about the importance of continuing to support Ukraine, expanding the scope and accelerating its provision, now, not later. At every event, we reminded them of Ukrainian prisoners of war waiting to return home, of abducted Ukrainian children, of the importance of supporting the Ukrainian economy, of the correctness of the ban on the Russian Orthodox Church in Ukraine, and of other important topics for Ukraine."
