On the night of March 11, Ukraine won an Oscar for the documentary 20 Days in Mariupol , which was produced by a team of incredibly talented filmmakers in total-black. They honored the memory of the victims and reminded us that Ukrainians are going through dark times, but remain committed to their cause and the desire to highlight Russia's crimes.

Against this backdrop, the outrage of last year's debutants, the family of the so-called Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny, who received a similar Oscar, looks particularly comical. Journalist Maryna Danylyuk-Yarmolayeva impressed the network with a photo comparison.

"Well, let's add a little bit of lookism. Last year's Navalnys looked so garish. And what an exquisite team "20 Days in Mariupol" is. You can't take your eyes off the female documentary filmmakers," the author wrote.

Last year, the family of Navalny, who was allegedly tortured in a Russian prison, came to the red carpet in cheerful colors: the daughter wore an acid yellow dress and her mother wore a red one. Only the son kept a somewhat restrained style.

The team, who saw Russian war crimes with their own eyes after spending almost three weeks in the suffering Mariupol, took the stage in black suits and dresses.

In his speech, the videographer and war journalist Mstyslav Chernov admitted that he wished he had never made this film, and that he would not hesitate to exchange the golden statuette for peace in his native country.
