Actor Julián Ortega, who gained worldwide fame for his role in the drama series Elite, has died on the beach of Playa de Zahora in Spain. The man passed away at the age of 41 due to sudden cardiac arrest.

According to People, paramedics tried to resuscitate the star for almost half an hour, but the attempts were in vain. His death was officially confirmed by representatives of the Spanish Union of Actors and Actresses.

"We express our deepest condolences to his family and friends. Rest in peace," the organization wrote.

Julián Ortega was vacationing on a Spanish beach in the city of Cadiz when he suddenly lost consciousness. Vacationers immediately called an ambulance, but they failed to revive the celebrity, as his heart stopped.

The Elite star was born in Madrid in 1983. Throughout his acting career, he has participated in the filming of various genres, including Cable Girls, Caronte, Velvet and Grand Hotel.
