The national beauty pageant Miss Russia was held in Russia, and although the jury tried to choose the most worthy winner, Valentina Alekseeva from Chuvashia, society found fault with even her good looks and, in their best fashion, harassed the 18-year-old girl for her beauty and her origin. She was called unworthy of the title because she was allegedly from the Chuvash Republic.

In other words, they call citizens of foreign countries, such as Ukraine and Georgia, Russians, and people who live far from Moscow in territories that became part of Russia more than a century ago are foreigners. In the comments under the news in the Russian media about the winner of Miss Russia, Alekseeva was called "not a Slavic" and "not a Russian girl."

• "The Chuvash are an indigenous people, just like the Mordva, for example. But they are not Russians, that's for sure. I'm also in favor of a Slavic girl in the contest!"

The 18-year-old's appearance was also criticized. Russians did not like her smile and straight teeth. "Toothy", "She looks like a deer", "Well done, but, in my subjective opinion, she looks much older", "What a toothy girl. The main thing is that she will be a doctor, she has chosen a reliable specialty", "There is some problem with her teeth", "It is strange to win a beauty contest with such teeth", "Crooked teeth are immediately noticeable", etc.

According to the Russian media, Valentina Alekseeva has only recently graduated from high school, moved to the capital, and decided to become a doctor. She strangely combines her studies, ballet, sports, and beauty contests. In particular, a wedding ring can be seen on her hands from time to time, but Alekseeva does not comment on it. The 18-year-old took part in Miss Russia after winning Miss Chuvashia last year.

Interestingly, she is supposed to represent Russia at the Miss Universe international beauty pageant in Mexico in November.
