Svaty star Anna Koshmal complained of bulling in Moldova because of Ukrainian language: people were happy that "part of Ukraine is gone"

Ukrainian actress Anna Koshmal, who starred in the TV series Svaty, shared her unfortunate experience in Chisinau, Moldova. The actress, who did not speak Russian with the locals due to principles, faced condemnation, bulling, and even harsh words about the occupation of Ukraine.

This is how the Ukrainian woman was met at the country's airport, where she was looking for her son's lost bag. The star shared her impressions of the trip on Instagram.

"I got the impression that if Chisinau were a person, it would be a pro-Russian poor pensioner," the actress began.

She shared that she forgot her bag of toys on the plane, and now she owes her son new ones. However, they first tried to search for the missing bag by communicating with the staff in English.

"In this short time here, there have already been several situations where people have rolled their eyes or laughed at my unwillingness to speak Russian (like the airport worker I asked for help finding my bag). As it turned out, I am very well known here, too. People recognized me everywhere, and some even said that I was their "Russian actress" and that they were glad that part of Ukraine was gone," Anna Koshmal said.

She added that she would not want to judge an entire country based on a few people, but overall she had a bad impression of the people of Moldova, although the employee at the reception of her hotel was happy to speak English and was very friendly.
