Founder of the cult band Boney M. dies: he spent the last year in a wheelchair
On Tuesday, January 23, the founder of the cult disco band Boney M, Frank Farian, passed away. He was the author of such global hits as Daddy Cool, Rasputin, Ma Baker, and others.
The producer was 82 years old. His death was reported by his family, the BBC reports.
The musician died at his home in Miami, Florida, USA. Despite his physical weakness, according to people from the star's inner circle, he was still full of energy.
As you know, in 2022, Farian had his heart valve replaced, which affected his health. As a result, he was forced into a wheelchair and had to use a breathing apparatus.
In addition to founding the legendary quartet, the producer also participated in the creation of such well-known pop projects as Eruption, Milli Vanilli, La Bouche, and others.
Boney M's hits are still popular all over the world.
