Ex-wife of traitor Bardash dramatically changes her stance on the language issue, saying she will now write songs in Russian

Popular Ukrainian singer Luna, who is also the ex-wife of traitor, producer and Russia's fan Yurii Bardash, suddenly changed her stance on the language issue after almost two years of full-scale war. Like most conscious media personalities, the singer switched to Ukrainian after February 24, 2022, but on January 4, she announced that she would continue to write songs in Russian and speak Russian because she "feels so."

Of course, this caused outrage among the conscious part of Luna's fans from Ukraine. However, in order to avoid hate, the singer decided to disappear from social media for a while, taking a so-called "break for real life." She announced this on Instagram Stories.

Interestingly, on the morning of January 4, Khrystyna Herasymova (the singer's real name) appealed to her followers on her blog and spoke in her native language. She then posted several stories in Russian in a row, in which she said that she was "more comfortable speaking in Russian."

The artist said that in the future her work would be in Russian, justifying it with standard narratives about "a ban that encourages to act against the rules even more." In addition, the singer hinted that her colleagues switched to Ukrainian solely to be liked or to get into trends.

Thus, Luna wrote in Russian, "I continue to write lyrics and songs in Russian. You know, for people like me, an imaginary ban makes me want to be honest with myself and my art even more! I see it that way, I feel that way. I try my best to feel the language and find my place in it. But I will never want to and will not be able to forbid myself to create the way I see... Because I don't write songs for recognition or approval by anyone. I write songs to free my soul. There are few such artists on the market, many want to be liked, to be in a trend, in a news, or to avoid hate."

Moreover, Luna said that this insight came to her while she was pregnant with her second child.

"It's strange. But it was pregnancy that helped me hear myself. It means that my intuition did not let me down again, and I figured it out correctly, as always. Although people said different things, as always... That's it, I'm going to have a pause for a real life," Luna added.
