Famous stars died at the height of their fame

Hollywood and worldwide fame are the goals of many creative people who may never achieve them. Millions of dollars, thousands of fans and a luxurious life are one side of the coin.

Some people believe that Hollywood is shrouded in a deadly curse. Unexplained deaths at the same age, ghosts, murders of models and supermen are not the whole list of horrors that have happened to famous stars. OBOZREVATEL talks about the mystical coincidences that haunt the world show business industry.

  • The 27 Club
Superstars died of addictions.

The 27 Club is the united name of a group of musicians who made a great contribution to the development of world rock and blues music, but they all died at the age of 27. This curse legend arose after the deaths of the stars of the 60s and 70s.

The first of them was Brian Jones, the guitarist of The Rolling Stones. He was found dead in his swimming pool in 1969. Then guitarist Jimi Hendrix died in London in 1970. He choked on his own vomit after consuming alcohol and drugs. A month after the tragedy, singer Janis Joplin died of a heroin overdose. Less than a year later, Jim Morrison, the lead singer of The Doors, was found dead in a bathroom in Paris due to heart failure.

The 27 club continued to expand in the 90s, as a huge number of talented musicians died at that age. In 1994, Kurt Cobain, the lead singer of Nirvana, committed suicide. His sister claimed that as a child, he always talked about wanting to join the 27 Club. Singer Amy Winehouse is also on this list. She died of a drug overdose in 2011. Canned Heat, The Drifters, Uriah Heep, The Grateful Dead, and Big Star also lost some of their musicians at the age of 27.

  • The Dark Knight
The actors of The Dark Knight are dead.

The Dark Knight was released in 2008 and was a sequel to the famous Batman Begins film directed by Christopher Nolan. The tragedies associated with the "curse of the Dark Knight" include the death of actor Heath Ledger, who played the Joker, from a drug overdose. He was 28 years old.

Another stuntman, Conway Wycliffe, died in an accident while filming a car scene. The lead actor, Christian Bale, was arrested shortly before the 2008 premiere on suspicion of assault.

  • The misfortunes of the Terminator
The Terminator actors were failing.

The Terminator series is also said to have a curse, namely the role of John Connor. Some of the actors' fates were broken. For example, the well-known Nick Stahl was in a psychiatric hospital immediately after the filming of Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines. In 2001, actor Edward Furlong, who played the same role in Terminator 2: Judgement Day, was found unconscious with a suspected heroin overdose.

  • Playboy's failures
The models died young.

There are dozens of Playboy Playmates whose fate was unfortunate or tragic. Reality TV star Danielle Lloyd was stripped of her Miss Great Britain title when she spoke about her relationship with footballer Teddy Sheringham, who was a judge at the pageant. The star of Charlie's Angels, Farrah Fawcett, appeared on the cover of the magazine in 1995, but later became addicted to drugs.

The beautiful Jane Mansfield died in an accident while travelling in 1967. Dorothy Stratten was murdered by her husband in 1980. Claudia Jennings died in a car accident in 1979.

  • Poltergeist
The Poltergeist actors were tragically killed.

When filming a horror movie, you can't help but get spooked, and the cast and crew noticed some warning signs on the set of Poltergeist. The lights were switched off and the lights flickered.

Shortly after the premiere, a series of tragic deaths occurred. Actress Dominique Dunne, who played the role of the eldest daughter in the film, was killed by her ex-boyfriend at the age of just 22. Three of the main characters died unexpectedly, namely Willa Sampson, Julian Beck and Heather O'Rourke. All of them passed away at a young age immediately after the film was completed.

  • The cursed heroes of Superman
Supermen tragically died.

The lives of some of the actors who played in the Superman films also ended tragically. George Reeves died of a gunshot wound at the age of 45, Christopher Reeve was paralysed after a horse riding accident in 1995 and died at the age of 52. Lee Quigley, who was Superman as a child, died at just 14 years old due to drug abuse.

  • The exorcist
The film's set burned down and the actor died.

The film The Exorcist is indeed surrounded by numerous rumours of a "curse". Many people recall strange events that took place on the set. All the sets were destroyed by fire. The most tragic of these stories was the death of Jack McGowran shortly after filming ended. He died of the London flu epidemic of 1973.

  • The cursed Porsche
They died because of a cursed car.

Actor James Dean bought his Porsche 550 Spyder during the filming of the film Rebel Without a Cause. In 1955, he was involved in a car accident and died, his car was also seriously damaged. Other people have been involved in accidents and fatal tragedies when they have been in this car. Actors Troy McGnery and William Exhreed died in accidents after purchasing parts of Dean's beat-up car.

  • Cursed Warning
The screenwriters almost crashed their planes.

During the filming of the satanic film Warning, two planes carrying screenwriters David Seltzer and Gregory Peck were struck by lightning. Peck also once refused to fly to Israel, and this plane crashed, killing all the passengers and crew on board. Executive producer Mace Neufelds' plane from Rome also almost crashed and made an emergency landing. The special effects manager crashed his car in the Netherlands and died on Friday 13.
