Conidela Chiranjeevi became a Guinness World Record holder

Indian actor Konidela Chiranjeevi entered the Guinness Book of Records as the "most prolific" star of Indian cinema. Over the course of his career, he has appeared in 143 films and 537 dance videos.

The 69-year-old Chiranjeevi, whose name translates to "Live Forever," began his journey to fame 46 years ago. As stated on the official website of the Guinness Book of Records, the artist has become a true icon of Indian cinema. The actor took the stage dressed in a blue suit to receive the award from the organization's representative. During his speech, Chiranjeevi thanked fans, directors and producers.

Konidela's journey began in 1977 with the films Punadirallu and Pranam Kharidu. Later, he earned the title of "Mega Star" by captivating the audience with his charisma on screen, his apt performance during comic scenes and his dancing skills.

Chiranjeevi's acting has been recognized with several prestigious awards, including three domestic Nandi Awards, seven Filmfare Awards for Best Actor, and the Nargis Dutt Award for National Integration for his 1988 film Rudra Veena. In 2007, he was awarded the Padma Bhushan, India's third highest civilian honor, and in 2024, he received the Padma Vibhushan, the second highest award.

In 1998, the actor founded the Chiranjeevi Charitable Trust (CCT), a charity dedicated to blood and organ donation. The foundation has played an important role in collecting more than 1 million units of blood and facilitated more than 10,000 corneal transplants. His fans play an active role in promoting this cause, and the director himself has ensured that awareness campaigns are included in all his films.

During natural disasters, including the 2004 tsunami and various cyclones, Chiranjeevi donated funds and provided assistance to victims. His humanitarian work during the COVID-19 pandemic is particularly noteworthy. In 2020, he founded the Corona Crisis Charity (CCC) to support more than 15,000 employees in the film industry by providing them with basic necessities for several months. The record holder's campaigns to eradicate child labor, raise awareness of HIV/AIDS and polio vaccination also reflect his commitment to social causes.
