The daughter of South Africa's expresident will become the 16th wife of King Eswatini

Nomsebo, the daughter of Jacob Zuma, former president of South Africa, will become the 16th wife of King Eswatini. The 21-year-old got engaged to her future husband, Mswati III, 56, during a traditional Umhlanga dance ceremony.

The ruler has headed the absolute monarchy in the African country since 1986, writes Stuff. This is not the first time he has married a girl who is much younger. His 13th choice was 17-year-old Findile Nkambule.

In 2001, Mswati initiated a rule that girls under the age of majority could not have sexual relations with him. However, a few years later, King Eswatini violated the actual ban created by marrying an underage girl. He then fined himself one cow and repealed the law.

Nomsebo Zuma was born and raised in a polygamous family. Her father has four wives and over twenty children.

To officially confirm the engagement, the daughter of South Africa's former president took part in the annual Umhlanga cane dance. At this ceremony, young and unmarried women dress up in traditional costumes and perform local dances in front of the king in his native village of Ludzidzini.
