Lawrence Piro, an oncologist and close friend of the late actress Shannen Doherty, spoke about the last hours of the celebrity's life, who passed away on July 13. The doctor noted that the Beverly Hills star fought bravely and was "not ready" for death.

"She loved life," Piro explained to People magazine. Doherty, 53, said in 2016 that she and Lawrence had a "great relationship and mutual respect."
