Prince Harry kneels beside Ukrainian warrior who lost his legs: video has moved the network

Prince Harry kneels beside Ukrainian warrior

The Invictus Games 2023, an international multidisciplinary competition for former and active military personnel wounded or disabled in service, continues in Düsseldorf, Germany. The founder of the competition Prince Harry met there with Ukrainian defenders. A video has hit the web, where the Duke of Sussex got down on one knee in front of a fan from Ukraine, who lost his legs in the war with the Russian occupiers.

The footage, which circulated on the network, moved Internet users to tears. Ukrainians note the humanity, simplicity and courtesy of the son of King Charles II of Great Britain (to watch the video, scroll to the end of the page).

Thus, during the next stage of the competition the Duke of Sussex passed by the stand with fans. Among them he noticed a fighter in a wheelchair with the flag of Ukraine in his hands. The Prince approached the Ukrainian, got down on one knee, shook hands with the veteran and made a photo.

Ukrainians in the comments thank Harry for his full support of the Ukrainian people. They write: "Still, royal blood is royal blood", "Thank you for your support", "Respect".

Note that Prince Harry at the competition also spoke to members of the Ukrainian team. He approached our fighters to greet them with handshakes and make memorable photos.

As reported by OBOZREVATEL, in his autobiographical book "Spare" Prince Harry talks about his service in Afghanistan in 2012-2013, when he was a co-pilot of an Apache attack helicopter. During that time, the son of Britain's king wrote in his memoir, he killed 25 Taliban fighters.
