"Pray for Ukraine! It deserves this prayer..." One of Nina Matvienko's last audio messages has been published

In 2023, Ukraine lost an outstanding singer, the "flower-soul" of the Ukrainian people, Nina Matvienko. Her daughter, also a singer, Tonya Matvienko, for the first time made public a fragment of one of the last audio messages her mother sent her shortly before her death. In it, Nina Mytrofanivna speaks about her love for her native land and her own life, without holding back tears.

Tonya first decided to make these recordings public in an interview with Oleksiy Sukhanov for his YouTube channel. In the voice recordings, Nina Matvienko honestly admits that she never "had time to make money." It is impossible to listen to her voice and confession without crying, as commenters write under the video.

"I loved life! I just didn't have time to make money myself... While I was earning money, while I was running, I did not mature when it ended so quickly. Oh, I should have gone to get checked every year. But nothing hurt. Why should I get checked?" the famous singer said to her daughter.

In the last days of her life, the People's Artist of Ukraine thought a lot about her homeland. She called on people to pray for her and honestly said that for the first time she truly felt like her child. Nina Mytrofanivna described through tears and a trembling voice how much love she had for Ukraine.

"Pray for Ukraine! It deserves this prayer. For the first time I felt that I was her child... I'm sorry... If I could, I would hug her to my heart. There are so many flowers for her inside, so much tenderness and pain... Mother, this whole land. I talked to her every day. Every day. She asked me to carry her longer," the singer said in her last days.

The video notes that the full version of her mother's last words is kept by Tonia Matvienko and can be made public only at her request.
