Ivan, the son of Ihor Pelykh, a well-known TV presenter in the 2000s who died in a car accident at the age of 35, has been fighting at the front since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion and has received a decoration from Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov. The 22-year-old is currently defending Ukraine in the Sumy region, and earlier he fought with the Russians in Donbas.

Ivan Pelykh often posts photos from the war zone on Instagram, so he shared the award in a story.

As can be seen on the document for the award, the Minister of Defense issued the order on April 24. In addition to Umerov's signature, it also bears his seal.

"It's all very well, but can I have a Glock instead, please?" commented Ivan Pelykh.

By the way, the Glock is a semi-automatic pistol. It is considered one of the best in the world for its light weight. Previously, Bohdan Tsybmal, a senior sergeant with the Azov Brigade of the National Guard, received a Glock 19X as a gift for "exemplary performance of military and official duty, honor and valor."

Ivan Pelykh occasionally shares photos from his service on social media, where he reports on trophy weapons, their testing, new achievements, and training. The man posts his photos under the hashtag #waronfilm to document this part of his life.
