For the first time since 1998, the Ukrainian band Okean Elzy has released a song in English called "Voices Are Rising ". The first track from the band's English-language album was warmly received by the audience. They said it reminded them of famous British band Coldplay.

It premiered on YouTube. The video consisted of lines of the song that changed along with Svyatoslav Vakarchuk's voice.

"There should have been extensive texts, stories, and press releases. However, today we want you to just listen to the song and, most importantly, remember that light will always overcome darkness. Our Ukrainian voices have already risen thanks to those who are fighting, restoring, and spreading their light every minute," Okean Elzy said.

In the song, the stars call for crying, letting go of emotions, and opening their hearts to something good when life's challenges force them to hide everything.

"Voices are rising

Just let it out right now

Tears that you are hiding

Just let em all fall," the chorus says.

Ukrainians liked the new chapter of Okean Elzy's work. They also emphasized how well the music sounds.

"I do not just like it, it is my favorite. It's a great song, Svyatoslav sings very beautifully in English", "Thank you! It's a new level, it's great! It's a competitive Ukrainian English-language song", "Thank you. A hard day, but creativity inspires", "What a 180-degree turn. It reminds me of Coldplay," they wrote in the comments.

As previously reported, the British rock band Coldplay, which fully supports Ukraine in the war against Russia, performed the hit song "Obiymy" (Hug Me) at its concert in Brussels. That day, the band was unexpectedly joined by the author of the track, Svyatoslav Vakarchuk.
