Mika Newton, a Ukrainian singer and representative of Ukraine at the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest, was in a disaster area in California where deadly fires were raging. The celebrity admitted that her family was in danger.

In her Instagram story, Newton showed Pacific Palisades, where the fire destroyed everything in its path, leaving only ruins and ashes. The video was shot from a drone.

First, the singer answered numerous questions from fans who were worried about her life. Mika assured that she and her family were safe and called for prayers for Los Angeles. But as the fire spread, the situation deteriorated dramatically.

"Our whole family has to evacuate immediately. It's like a nightmare," Newton told her fans, showing a message that came to her phone.

The Ukrainian woman has been living in the United States since 2011. There she met and fell in love with American businessman Chris Saavedra, with whom she went down the aisle.

In 2021, the celebrity overcame cancer and founded a charity foundation. Mika Newton ended her music career and now works as a model.
