Meet Sadsvit, a 20-year-old sensation breaking Ukrainian charts whose songs can be heard in Stalker 2 and AFU units
After the release of the long-awaited video game S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chernobyl, which featured 420 Ukrainian songs, the national music charts were taken over by a young singer Sadsvit (real name: Bohdan Rozvadovskyi). The 20-year-old musician's song "Kaseta" (Cassette) from the album of the same name now leads the Top 50 list on Ukrainian Spotify.
In addition, his other tracks - "Syluety" (Silhouettes), "Molodist" (Youth) and "Personazhi" (Characters) - also made it to the list. It is worth noting that this is not the first time that "Kaseta" has been topping the charts, as the song went viral back in 2022 when the Azov Regiment used the song in a video of their combat operations.
What is known about Sadsvit
Sadsvit is the pseudonym of artist Bohdan Rozvadovskyi. The name consists of two parts: "sad" and the Ukrainian word "svit", which means "world," so the performer basically named himself "the sad world."
Rozvadovskyi was born in Ivano-Frankivsk on May 1, 2004. He is currently studying at the Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University, Department of Civil Law. Sadsvit has been fascinated by music since he was a kid, mastering music programs already in his teens. Although he has no musical education, he is a skilled guitarist and has previously created beats for other musicians.
Rozvadovskyi started his career in 2020 with the Russian-language song "Razbitye mechty" (Broken Dreams). However, already as Sadsvit, he released his first song in the same year, called "Ne Zabuvai" (Don't Forget). In the winter of 2021, the singer's first studio album "Kaseta" was released. The track "Molodist" quickly gained popularity on TikTok, securing the 7th place in the Ukraine Top 50 and 95th place in the Ukraine Top 100 charts on Spotify.
Back in the spring of 2022, the Azov Regiment shared a video about the everyday life of soldiers defending Mariupol, choosing the song "Kaseta" as background music. Soon many popular Telegram channels shared the video, helping the song top the Spotify Viral 50 and Shazam Top 200 charts.
