On May 25, the famous Ukrainian TV presenter Masha Yefrosynina turns 45. She has been regularly appearing on Ukrainian TV screens for more than 20 years.
Masha started her career in television at the age of 19. Ukrainian viewers know her from numerous TV shows, magazine covers, and charity projects. Today, OBOZ.UA decided to show how the presenter has changed over the years.
Children's photos
Masha Yefrosynina was born and raised in Crimea. She moved to Kyiv after graduating from high school and entered Shevchenko University. On her Instagram page, Masha shared photos from her school days and said that her mother always told her (literally every morning) that she was the most beautiful girl in the world. And that these words are really important for every girl at a young age.
Debut on Ukrainian TV
Masha first appeared on Ukrainian TV in the program "Shchaslyvyi Dzvinok" (Happy Call) on UT-1. From there, she was invited to the Novy Channel to host the morning show "Pidyom" (Getting up), which she began to host together with Yurii Horbunov.
The first 10 years on television
Years on the air of the morning show brought Yefrosynina immense popularity. Back then, viewers remembered Masha in bright outfits and with an appetizing figure.
Weight loss
Later, the TV star decided that she needed to change and started losing weight. Masha tried different methods, and even went for the so-called "food coding". In 2010, the TV presenter began to actively play sports and eat right. When it came to changing her look, Yefrosynina did not resort to drastic decisions. Bright clothes are something that has been a constant thread throughout her career.
Today, the star is often accused of losing too much weight. Masha does not deny this, saying that during the full-scale war she lost a few more kilograms due to stress. However, she assures fans that she monitors her health and regularly takes tests and visits doctors.
But anorexia "diagnoses" and offensive comments about weight loss are not the only reasons why the TV presenter was attacked on social media by her fans and others. The issue of the Russian language became one of the most high-profile scandals. Even during the full-scale war, Masha continued to record her programs in the language of the aggressor for some time, and was criticized for it.
However, in the end, the TV presenter gave up the Russian language completely and now conducts all interviews and social media only in Ukrainian.
