The singer responded to an Instagram post on August 31, which stated that there was "news about Lana Del Rey's new husband." It was said that Dufresne "is an alligator guide who recently divorced his wife."

In particular, a post allegedly by Jeremy's daughter appeared on social network X. She wrote that she had learned about her father's new romance with the singer through social media and shared her thoughts on everything that was happening. At the time of writing, the girl made her social media profile private, which makes it impossible to verify whether she has deleted the post.

"About my dad and Lana from my last tweets. If there is any news, I will report it, but for now I have nothing to report. I hardly ever talk to my dad, let alone about his personal life. I'm just shocked at who he's dating," she said in the tweet.

However, Del Rey has known Dufresne for a long time. Rumors of their romance emerged after they were spotted holding hands last weekend at the Reading & Leeds festival in the UK. In particular, according to Billboard, back in 2019, she posted a photo with a guide during a tour of the swamps near New Orleans and captioned it: "Jeremy, let me be the captain on the Arthurian Airboat Tour."
